Horse Riding

The diverse landscapes in the South Tyrolean Alps are perfect for horse riding. Especially favoured destinations are the Ritten (Renon) High Plateau, the Seiser Alm and the Sciliar, as well as Merano and its surrounding region.

This is also the homeland of the famous Haflinger Horse, named after the town of Hafling near Scena (Schenna).

Of course, it is possible to ride horses and ponies other than the Haflinger through the country-side and enjoy the magical natural backdrop of the Dolomite Mountains of South Tyrol.
